Bloom Into Sunny Reading: The Joy OF Seasonal Reading
Watching a child enjoy reading can be a magical experience. The way their eyes light up at an unexpected twist, or how they belly laugh over a silly character, books have a way of tapping into a child’s imagination and planting seeds that blossom for a lifetime.
Reading books can be powerful. Reading the “right” book can be tansformational.
Seasons transform and so does our pace, our moods, and our opportunities for growth. Spring and summer offer the perfect platforms for stories about blooming, change, nature, exploration, and fun. Why It Matters
Reading seasonally themed books help to give children a sense of time and purpose. This can be a great opportunity to connect learning with real-life experiences. Planting a garden, pool safety, wacthing bees, or butterflies emerge, books can provide great impact to these educational experiences. These stories plant seeds of social emotional learning, exploration, and creativity.
Take some time to snuggle up on the couch, the porch with a glass of lemonade, or relax on a blanket at the park, and grow your child’s heart and mind through a book.
